We did so many things together, 

went for our daily walks, 

irregardless of the weather, 

enjoyed two- and fourlegged talks.

Now I am off for a walk, 

to all our favourite places. 

I'll say hello to people and dogs you knew, 

take comfort in their friendly faces.

Another dog might need a home, 

I'll do my best to care for it. 

It's what you would want me to do,

and you'll be there - in spirit.
