Our first Eurasier 

Baronesse von Hassel - Ayla

27. Oktober 1990 - 16. Dezember 1997 (Accident)

Our dearest wish had always been a Eurasier dog. Special circumstances - we knew we would have to move to the UK -  let us wait until we finally got our dream dog. 

During this waiting period of three years, we became members of the Zuchtgemeinschaft fuer Eurasier e.V. (ZG) and learned as much as we could about this very special German dog breed. Our one year stay in the UK was over and, directly after moving back to Germany, we could finally make our dream come true:

On the 22nd December 1990,  we went to pick up our little Eurasier puppy, Baronesse von Hassel.  It was fascinating to watch her grow and learn. We named her Ayla and she became our dearest companion.

The preconditions according to the breeding rules of the ZG were fulfilled, and so, in 1993, following a honeymoon with Balu vom Aegidienberg, Ayla enjoyed having seven gorgeous Eurasier puppies. So did we!

From this litter we kept the only male, Aiko-Merlin. Having both mother and son was wonderful. With Ayla and Merlin, we then moved to Great Britain and lived there from 1995 to 1999. We had a lovely time there, made friendships and experiences we would not want to miss. Sadly, our Ayla died in December 1997 due to an accident. We think of her every day. She lives on in our many, happy memories.

Now we only had Merlin.
